MPICH Turns 21!
This November, the MPICH team celebrates the 21st anniversary of the project. In November 1992, the project began with the name being finalized later in March 1993. It began as a reference implementation for the new MPI Standard. Since then, it has become the basis for numerous derivative implementations and has grown to be used on the largest and fastest machines in the world, including 9 of the top 10 Supercomputers according to the most recent Top500 list. Thanks for continuing to use MPICH for all of this time!
